We are committed to encouraging and creating a positive soccer experience through our player development pathway. Our program strives to maximize each player’s personal development through appropriate age and skill-level specific teaching methodologies. Our goal is to be inclusive to our community and to provide each player with an opportunity to play the game at the appropriate level while developing technical/tactical skills, leadership characteristics, sportsmanship, and a strong team and Club culture.
In a positive, fun, hard-working atmosphere, individuals, players, and teams will develop new skills, knowledge, and improve his or her physical strengths as well as hone in on a players' natural talents and skill level. It is our intention to provide all players of all levels with the best possible training and education afforded to them by us and help build his or her confidence, desire, passion, enjoyment, and love of the game!!! Once again, this is done in a positive, fun, creative atmosphere, while installing a hard individual and team work ethic, concentration, and desire to becoming a "complete player"...
We strive to guide all of our players towards the COLLEGIATE PATHWAY and will be there with them along their journey. NLSA provides a Collegiate Pathway for all NLSA student-athletes. Our objective is to provide information and guidance to every player who wants to play soccer at the collegiate level. NLSA coaches have accumulated over the years an extensive collegiate network. Many of our coaches are directly linked to the high school and collegiate soccer environment developing relationships that certainly benefit our NLSA soccer athletes and families.
We are one of the few competitive organizations on long island that work with our community based clubs and accommodate all athletes from the fun and fundamental type of player all the way through to to high level multi-sport athletes. For our Select Teams, our goal is to compete at the highest level challenging ourselves each play, game, season, league, tournament and showcase.
We work with our affiliate town clubs so that in particular our youngest players U8 through U12 have the opportunity to stay connected to their town teams during the developmental stage of their educational journey on and off the pitch. We work with our affiliate clubs to install and intrinsic methodology and approach to the game. When you are intrinsically motivated, you engage in an activity because you enjoy it and get personal satisfaction from doing it, it is about the player and his or her enjoyment and love of the game.
